A single IMb barcode lets you track each envelope from the time it’s accepted by the Postal Service to the day it’s
delivered. It also provides Move Update information, details such as USPS Special Services on each piece, and mail
quality information. By May 2011, companies will be required to use the IMb to receive volume discounts—so attend this
presentation and find out what you need to make this technology work for you. The short workshop will also explain the
differences between the Basic and Full-Service Options, what your company needs to do to participate in the options, and how to obtain feedback on your mail.
Speaker: Kent Walker has been the Manager, Business Mail Entry for the Salt Lake City Post Office for 12 years. A 35-
year employee of the Postal Service, Kent started his postal career as a letter sorting machine operator and, among other jobs, has also been an Express Mail clerk, supervisor and acting postmaster. Kent has given numerous presentations on IMb. His department is the contact for anyone from Boise to St. George who is interested in this technology. |
